| Aug. 5-7,2011, Chile: Congratulations to Jessica Gil, from Colombia, won1st Place on Floor and 3rd Place on Vault at the South America Gymnastics Championships, event finals. Senior teams from Brazi, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador, Venenezuela participated at this very important event in preparation for the 2011 Panamerican Games and World Championships. | 2012 Puerto Rico Cup: Jessica Gil, representing Colombia Team, won 1st Place All Around. Jessica and her teammates also ended up on 1st Place on team competition. Jessica advanced to finals on floor, earning a Gold medal and also advanced to finals on vault earning Silver medal to Dominican Republic. Awesome work for Jessica Gil and her coach Maria Gonzalez from Universal Gymnastics. Go JESSICA!!!!

Winter Cup
Danell Leyva, Max Mayr and Edward Mesa will be among the 126 male gymnasts expected to compete in the 2011 Winter Cup Challenge, Feb. 3-5, at the Las Vegas (Nev.) Sports Center. Danell was World all-around and high bar finalist and 2010 Winter Cup parallel bars champion.

Voronin Cup
Universal Gymnastics participated for the first time of this prestigious international competition. Edward Mesa, Marcos Gatinho and coach Yin Alvarex representing the men's team and Nicole Mandrini, Marina Gatinho (PR), Paula Mejias (PR) and coach Maria Gonzalez representing the girl's team. Paula qualified for finals on floor and vault and Nicole on beam. Marina made first alternate on beam and bars. Click here for results.
